Amorata (poem)

To have your love is all that I ask
Out of this life which is glad yet grim
To hold you in my arms secure
And have you hold me too

Our bodies melt together
At the breaking of the dawn
Surrendering to each other
Heart, mind, and soul
Our lips meet in silence
Save for whispered words of love

My soul is aflame with passion now
With your soft skin touching mine
And my hands gently caressing you
As we lock in our loving embrace

(I wrote this when I was 12 years old)
